A California native, Gary Kramer graduated from Humboldt State University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in wildlife management, and then he embarked on a 26-year career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Gary was a biologist at the Kern and San Luis National Wildlife Refuges in California and was the refuge manager of Salt Sea and Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complexes. He is a contributing photographer for Sports Afield and his writing and photography appear regularly in Ducks Unlimited magazine, Outdoor Life, Birder's World, Wild Bird, and many other magazines, books, and calendars. |
