Rick Ferruggia has enjoyed the natural world for most of his life. Growing up fishing and hunting he developed a genuine interest in conservation. While he no longer hunts, he continues to marvel at wildlife in person, online, and through trail-cam observation. Through fly fishing, he has visited many beautiful regions of the U.S. and Canada, which has made an indelible impression on his perspective of the importance of preserving and protecting natural and wild areas and its waters. After a career of real estate investment and management, he spends much of his time as president of a local watershed protection organization in northwestern N.J. He enjoys playing ice hockey with family and friends during the winter months. He and his wife have three adult sons and reside on a small farm with their beloved dog Phoenix. |
